This FREE sustainable agriculture curriculum was developed for high school students by the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems from the University of Wisconsin. All modules include projected outcomes, background lessons, activities, homework assignments, and evaluation materials. A CD of this curriculum can be ordered via the website for $5.
The Food for Thought FREE curriculum for high school students incorporates reading comprehension and hands-on activities for science, social studies, and language arts, linked to Oregon's educational benchmarks. Most of the activities can be completed during one class period.
Kaiser Permanente Northwest's Community Benefit program supports Ecotrust's Farm to School program with a Healthy Food Access grant that facilitates the purchase of more healthy, regionally produced food by school districts in the region and connects them with small, medium-sized, and minority-owned food producers in their communities.
