These buyers are seeking squash.

ROTARY FIRST HARVEST – Located in Seattle, WA, this organization connects existing resources to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables, including varieties of Winter squash to food banks and other food assistance organizations as efficiently as possible. Get in touch with them if you have trouble selling your excess squash.

FORT VANCOUVER CONVALESCENT CENTER – This health care facility in Vancouver, WA, is looking for local fruits and vegetables that can be delivered to them via their distributor – Food Services of America. Get in touch to see if you can provide the quality and quantity of winter squash they need.

UMATILLA MORROW HEAD START – A comprehensive child development center in Hermiston, OR, this organization serves children ages 3-5 and their families including nutrition services. They’re looking for a variety of local product including winter squash and receive distribution through FSA and United Grocers. Send them a message to see if they might accept direct delivery.

Marketplace Updates

Vetting a variety of vegetables.

The Ecotrust Farm to School Program is helping Mt. Hood Community College kickstart its local sourcing of sweet potatoes beginning this December. They’ll need two deliveries at 215 lbs each and would prefer direct delivery on Thursday, November 29 and Thursday, December 6. Respond to their marketplace post if you can provide these potatoes.

A sushi restaurant in Portland called Gaya Gaya Japanese Restaurant is looking for local producers who can help supply a new restaurant they are opening in the Hillsboro/Beaverton this December. They will need a year-round supply of cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, onions, green onions, radish, yam, carrots, zucchini and more. Respond to their Marketplace post to learn more about expected quantities and work out a price.

Annette’s Westgate Café is located in Salem, OR, and features local wine and full-belly favorites with ingredients sourced through Food Services of America.
